Responsible for all textures and paint treatments needed to realize a design

Create samples for designer approval

Work with Technical Director on choice of build materials and process

Provide Production Manager and  Technical Director with estimated costs of supplies and labor

Communicate work flow plans and deadlines with Technical Director, Lead Carpenter and Lead Scenic

Hire and supervise over hire paint staff and schedule as needed

Attend to the overall cohesive visuals of the design

Work within budget and time constraints to achieve highest quality realization of design elements. 

Prepare records and paint kits for shows travelling to other theaters

Purchase and maintain materials and tools as needed.
